Lumen Christi nominee from Siloam Springs

Marie Rollins, a member of St. Mary Church in Siloam Springs, was named a Lumen Christi Award nominee by Catholic Extension. Rollins is the founder of HOPE’s Kitchen and has overseen the volunteers for the past 11 years. Since then, they have served 33,000 meals to those in need. The Lumen Christi Award is given to people who “radiate and reveal the light of Christ present in the communities where they serve.” Each year, the recipient is selected from a pool of nominees, sent in by dioceses that recognize their work. This year’s group includes 37 nominees. The winner and the diocese where the winner lives each receive $25,000.
