Graduation

Cynthia Solis, faith formation and youth director for St. John Church in Russellville, will graduate May 6 with a master’s degree in pastoral studies from Loyola University in Chicago. 

Solis began her parish leadership roles in 2014 as the volunteer director of religious education at St. Andrew Church in Danville, while working full-time as a preschool teacher’s assistant.  

Pastor Father Daniel Ramos said, “Ms. Solis has demonstrated exceptional faith, resilience and commitment to her faith and our community. Her dedication has profoundly impacted the lives of many parishioners, especially our youth. Pursuing this degree has presented numerous challenges. However, Ms. Solis has skillfully balanced her spiritual and personal responsibilities, focusing on meeting our community’s spiritual needs.”
