Arkansas Catholic has chosen five finalists in its Young Faith Essay Contest for the Year of Faith.
Catholic high school juniors and seniors were asked to reflect on this Scripture: “But the Lord answered me, Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ To whomever I send you, you shall go; whatever I command you, you shall speak.” (Jeremiah 1:7)
Finalist essays will be published in the newspaper and here through April 6. Readers had an opportunity to vote for their favorite essay on Arkansas Catholic’s Facebook page April 11-24. Reader votes will be considered as the judges choose the winning essay to be announced May 11 at the Catholic Youth Ministry convention in Little Rock.
