Bishop Anthony B. Taylor will ordain 46 permanent deacons for the diocese at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 11 at Christ the King Church in Little Rock and 10 a.m., Saturday, June 25 at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers.
The men and their wives began a discernment process in 2016 and officially started their training in 2017.
Even during the height of the COVID pandemic, the diaconate candidates continued to meet online and in person. The 35 English-speaking deacons met monthly at St. John Center in Little Rock and online, while the 11 Spanish-speaking deacons met at Subiaco Abbey.
