St. Joseph Church’s Second Annual Volunteer Banquet was held Nov. 5 in Conway to thank parishioners who donated their time and talent over the years. About 225 people attended. Pastor Father John Connell and associate pastor Father Daniel Wendel oversaw the evening. An Italian meal was served prior to the recognition of volunteers who’ve served on commissions and committees. Three volunteers were honored for their efforts. Barbara Kordsmeier was named Volunteer of the Year. Billy York was given the St. Vincent de Paul Award for faithful service. Theresa Gerard received the St. Teresa of Calcutta Award for her generous contributions.
