Father Patrick Boland, OSB, a priest of Subiaco Abbey, was named grand prior of the Order of the Fleur de Lis. His duties at the abbey include operating the abbey sawmill and coordinating the Safe Environment Committee for Subiaco. He succeeds Msgr. Bruce Miller, who died in February.
The Order of the Fleur de Lis is an organization of Catholic men incorporated in Louisiana as a not-for-profit organization. The order serves Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee. The order supports and defends the Church and its teachings, promotes patriotism and good citizenship, and encourages public morality and unselfish service to God and country.
