Lindsey Morris, a senior at Mount St. Mary Academy in Little Rock, was presented with three 2025 Heartland Art Region Scholastic Awards from Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, in partnership with the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. 

She received a Gold Key award for her mixed media self-portrait, “Cutting,” which will be judged at the national level in New York City in March. Morris also received a Silver Key award for her art portfolio submission, “My Acceptance of Femininity from Birth until Now,” and an honorable mention for her illustration, “Transition.” 

Morris will be recognized alongside other regional winners at a ceremony April 25 at Crystal Bridges in Bentonville. Additionally, all Gold and Silver Key awarded works will be on display in a special showcase at Crystal Bridges from March 22 to May 5. Honorable mention works will be displayed digitally. The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious program for creative teens.
