Meetings for Catholics recovering from addictions are held monthly in the Diocese of Little Rock. The weekly Catholic in Recovery meeting is now available online. Hosted by Sacred Heart Church in Charleston, participants meet in person and on Zoom every Sunday at 6 p.m. Call the church office at (479) 965-2532 to confirm the meeting before attending or to get Zoom access. The organization seeks to serve those suffering from addictions and unhealthy attachments, including alcoholism, drugs, pornography, sex, compulsive overeating and gambling. Calix Society of Central Arkansas meets in person on the first Monday of the month at St. John Center in Little Rock. All are welcome to attend the monthly gathering at 5:30 p.m. with Mass in Fletcher Hall Chapel followed by a meeting at 6 p.m. Email calix@dolr.org to confirm the date and location. Calix is a Catholic organization focused on the 11th step of Alcoholics Anonymous. It is guided by a chaplain and sponsored by Catholic Charities of Arkansas.
