William “Bill” R. Wrape II, a deacon and member of St. Theresa Church in Little Rock, died Nov 21. He was 99.
Wrape attended St. Andrew’s Elementary School and Catholic High School in Little Rock before graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1945. After serving in the Navy, he returned to Little Rock, married the late Betty Jo Christian, and the two adopted four children.
In addition to being ordained a deacon in 1993, Wrape was a charter member of the Little Rock Serra Club, a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher and a member of the Knights of Columbus Arkansas State Council for more than 70 years.
He is survived by two sons, William R. Wrape and Mark Christian Wrape; one daughter, Genny Wrape Harrison; one sister, Ann Wrape James; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
