Catholic schools scholarship appeal

The Catholic Schools Office will launch its Arkansas Catholic Schools Scholarship Appeal Nov. 16-17.

Superintendent Theresa Hall said in a letter to donors, “As you may know, the cost of tuition can be a significant barrier for many families who desire the quality Catholic education for their children that our schools offer. If you have helped us in the past, we are so grateful. Last year the Arkansas Catholic Schools Scholarship Appeal provided tuition assistance to 34 students. Every contribution, no matter the size, has a meaningful impact and helps us move closer to our goal of $230,000, which represents the current amount needed to help families this school year. You may be familiar with the LEARNS Act which provides funding for tuition and some fees through an Education Freedom Account for students who meet the criteria. Although the categories have expanded this year, many students who need financial assistance still do not qualify. The cost of paying full tuition remains an obstacle for many families.”
