Hankins served Fort Smith as deacon for 14 years

Deacon Charles “Chuck” Elden Hankins Jr., 65, formerly of St. Boniface Church in Fort Smith, died Feb. 3. Hankins was ordained a deacon for the Diocese of Little Rock in December 2002. In 2016, he briefly moved to  Waukesha, Wis., where he was incardinated into the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, before he returned to Yukon, Okla., his native state, where he retired from his duties as a deacon with the Church. 

He is survived by his wife, Julie Hankins; two sons, Charles Patrick Hankins and David Michael Hankins; one daughter, Jennifer Elaine Jennings; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
