Catholic High senior signs on as a new seminarian

Sam Ray, a senior at Catholic High School in Little Rock, signed a letter of intent to be a seminarian for the Diocese of Little Rock April 28 in front of his parents, Bishop Anthony B. Taylor and a few teachers at the school.

The brief ceremony was held in the gym following an online all-school Mass. The Seminarian Signing Day live video was shared on Arkansas Catholic’s Facebook page and diocesan YouTube channel as well as the school’s social media accounts.

Ray, son of Bill Ray and Debbie Ray Tynes, will attend the University of Incarnate Word and the Mexican American Catholic College in San Antonio.
