On February 26 Startup Junkie in Fayetteville hosted an “IdeaFame” Business Pitch Contest held at the Razorback Basketball Performance Center.

Participants had 60 seconds to present a pitch about their business without the assistance of notes or physical prompts. Grace Dickinson, of “Diary of a God-Man” walked away as the winner of the People’s Choice Award. The Prize for this was a $1,000 check from Startup Junkie.

“It was unreal and one of the best experiences. We think will be useful around the US and hopefully the world. Our book is called “Diary of a God-Man”, which is a children’s comic book missal about the mass to help younger kids understand the mass and the readings. The book is influenced by many of our favorite books we read. All of our friends love these books so we think kids will love our book, Diary of a God-Man”, said Grace Dickinson.

This family-run business of eight consists of Tiffany (Spiritual Director), Kevin (Supervisor), Gabbi, age 14 (Treasurer), Grace, age 12 (Head of Sales), Joseph, age 11 (Illustrations), Ann Marie, age 8(Digital Marketing), Eli, age 6 (Creative), And Catherine, age 4 (Moral Support)

Diary of a God-Man, recently launched a Kickstarter campaign. Kickstarter is a popular crowdsourcing site where businesses aim to raise funds to help launch their ideas. Their goal is to raise $7,000 to complete the illustrations for their first book which they hope to shop to publishers.

The Dickinsons kids who attend Saint Joseph Catholic Church and School in Fayetteville have decided to make the weekly issues free for download until kids are able to return to mass. Additional information can be found on their website at www.diaryofagodman.com
