William Circy Cummings, Jr., 90, of Jacksonville, died Feb. 15. He was born July 17, 1929, in Lone Grove, Oklahoma, to William Circy Cummings, Sr., and Ivila Morrison Tucker Cummings. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 55 years, Dianne Cummings, sister Nelda Cummings and brother Ladell Cummings.
Cummings worked as a schoolteacher before entering the U.S. Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict. He later worked and retired from the Air Force Base as an education counselor. Cummings was of the Catholic faith and a member of the DAV.
He is survived by son, Paul Cummings and wife Jennifer of Sherwood; daughter, Melanie Graf and husband Scott of Glendora, California; and by three grandchildren, Grant Graf, Elizabeth Cummings and Benjamin Cummings.
Rosary was Feb. 19 with visitation to follow at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills, 7724 Lander Road, North Little Rock. Mass of Christian Burial was Feb. 20 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 6150 Remount Road, North Little Rock, Fr. Joseph Chan as Celebrant. Entombment will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park.
