Getting into the Octoberfest spirit, young adults Drew Swalley (from left), Alejandra Rubio Villalobos, Elias Campuzano and Avery Goode enjoy some homemade chili and craft beer from the many cooks and home brewers who participated in St. Raphael Church’s annual “Brewtober” chili and beer fest Oct. 7 in Springdale.

The event draws patrons from the area — Catholic and non-Catholic — who enjoy the festivities and vote for their favorite chili and beer.
