Goal after college: attend medical school

What was the best aspect of high school? Having a small class compared to most schools allowed me to make a second family in all of my classmates.

What will you miss most about high school? All of the friends I made along the way.

Scholarships:  Hendrix Academic Scholarship, Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship and Hendrix’s matching Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship

High school honors and awards: Eagle Scout, National Honors Society president 2016-2017, Boys State Representative, Highest Honors in U.S. History, Outstanding Mathematical Reasoning in Trig/Pre-Cal, 1st Honors in English and Highest Academic Honors in Chemistry.

Amber Briggler, 18

Parents: Keith and Alisha Briggler

College and major: University of Central Arkansas, diagnostic medical sonography

Goal after college: Apply all of my skills learned in college to be the best worker I can be and tend to my patients

What was the best aspect of attending your high school? Since it is such a small school we are one big, close family.  

What will you miss most about high school? I’ll miss seeing all of my friends that I’m used to seeing every day since I was 3.

Mary Katherine Hartman, 18

College and major: University of Central Arkansas, nutrition

Goal after college: My goal after college is to become an occupational therapist, and possibly open my own business.

What was the best aspect of attending your high school? The best aspect of attending St. Joseph High School was being surrounded by what felt like a big family who always loved and supported you.

What will you miss most about high school?  What I will miss most about high school are the friendships I have made and the teachers who make it their top priority to see you succeed.

High school honors and awards: Highest honors from 9th-12th grade, member of National Junior Honor Society and National Honor Society, Outstanding Eighth Grader, 3rd year letterman of varsity basketball, Leadership Award of 2015-2016 basketball season, Outstanding Offense Award of 2016-2017 basketball season, 3rd year letterman of golf, 2016-2017 Homecoming Court, member of the Faulkner County Youth Leadership Institute, and selection to be honored at the Governor’s Scholastic Honors Day of 2017.
