- Sister Brendan Siebenmorgen, OSB, 92, a Benedictine and surgical nurse; March 6
- Sister Katharine Wewer, OSB, 87, served 59 years as a sister at St. Scholastica Monastery; Jan. 12
- Sister Alice Ruth Carr, 89, became a hermit after 14 years as a Carmelite sister; March 8
- Father James R. Savary, 80, served in Fort Smith, Hot Springs, North Little Rock and Little Rock; March 15
- Sister Mary Reginald Mooney, RSM, 102, served at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith for more than 40 years; June 1
- Mariana Verano Martinez, 52, a preschool teacher at Immaculate Conception School in Fort Smith; June 4. Her husband, Juan G. Martinez, died Jan. 24. Both had cancer.
- Sister Cabrini Schmitz, OSB, 83, served as prioress of St. Scholastica Monastery for eight years, co-founded St. Edward Hospice, now at Mercy Hospital Fort Smith; Dec. 28
