The Mass for Life will be celebrated in the Robinson Center Exhibition Hall in Little Rock at noon, Sunday, Jan. 19 to mark the anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe vs. Wade decision making abortion legal in the United States. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor will be the celebrant.
Preceding the Mass will be adoration at 11 a.m. and a Rosary for Life at 11:15 a.m.
The prayer vigil and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will begin at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18 at the Cathedral of St. Andrew and will continue through 8 a.m. the next morning. Area churches and Knights of Columbus councils have been assigned times to participate in the vigil (see sidebar for details), but parishioners are invited to attend at any time.

The March for Life, sponsored by Arkansas Right to Life, will begin at 2 p.m. at Capitol and Wolfe streets in Little Rock.
The staging area will be behind the State Capitol on West Capitol Avenue between Wolfe and Battery streets.
Jennifer Briselden, Catholic campus minister at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith, will be the keynote speaker. Other speakers include the Rev. Chris Perry, pastor of Christ Church in Maumelle, and Father Erik Pohlmeier, pastor of Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church in Little Rock.
