On Dec. 11, 1955, Knights of Columbus Council 4143 in Conway was chartered under the spiritual guidance of Father Sylvester F. Dellert, CSSp. Charter members included Ernest Joseph Lock and five of his sons, James, Alvin, Clarence, Ernest Joseph Jr. and Donald.

Following that tradition Aug. 25, five members of Ernest Joseph Lock Jr.'s family became members of North Little Rock Knights of Columbus Council 6253. They were Ernest Joseph III, his son Ernest Joseph IV,  Michael Lock, his son Michael Jr. and Ronnie Bogard, Ernest's son-in-law of 29 years. Aug. 25 was also Ernest Joseph Lock Jr.'s 80th birthday.
