Nearly 100 high schoolers competed in the inaugural Kickin’ It with the Seminarians kickball tournament, Aug. 17 in Little Rock.

The event raised more than $1,500 for scholarships to youth ministry events.

North Little Rock’s Immaculate Conception 72 defeated Little Rock’s Christ the King Kickin’ It Catholic Style, 6-3, for the title. The award for most creative uniforms went to St. Jude Church in Jacksonville.

Also participating were Catholic Ninjas from Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Booneville; 2 Legit to Kick, Compadres and Kick-Fil-A, all from Christ the King; St. Benedict Bashers from Our Lady of the Holy Souls Church in Little Rock; and Wait For It … from Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock.
