Last December, four juniors at St. Joseph Catholic School in Pine Bluff began writing a novel. The prior months, they witnessed incredible discord in the country as the campaigns for the presidential election reached their peaks. Shortly thereafter, they developed their views into an allegorical warning that tells of how necessary and good it is for antagonistic parties to work together.
"America: Land of the Free, Home of the Genetically Altered" was submitted to the publisher Friday, March 15 and will likely be available for sale in May through amazon.com and other retailers. Although it contains some violence, there is no vulgarity at all, and it would make a great book for anyone at the seventh-grade reading level or higher. At just over 220 pages, the novel contains Christian themes and truly is a well-written and enjoyable read.
