Bishop Taylor makes pastoral changes for March

Bishop Anthony B. Taylor announced the following pastoral appointments.

Effective March 3

  • Dc. George Sanders, assigned to minister as deacon at St. Mary Church in North Little Rock while serving as hospital chaplain.
  • St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers will cover Our Lady of the Ozarks Shrine in Winslow temporarily through June 2013.  Mass will be celebrated the first and third Sundays at 9 a.m.

Effective March 6

  • Rev. Alphonse Gollapali, relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of St. Martin Church in Nashville. He remains pastor of Our Lady of Good Hope Church in Hope.
  • Rev. Salvador Vega-Alvarenga, relieved of his responsibilities as associate pastor of Our Lady of Good Hope Church in Hope, to become administrator of St. Martin Church in Nashville. He remains associate pastor of St. Edward Church in Texarkana.
  • Rev. Clayton Gould relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of St. Augustine Church in Dardanelle to become pastor of St. Michael Church in Van Buren.
  • Rev. James Melnick, relieved of his responsibilities as associate pastor of St. Joseph Church in Conway to become administrator of St. Augustine Church in Dardanelle. He remains administrator of St. Andrew Church in Danville.
  • Rev. Timothy Donnelly OSB, relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of St. Michael Church in Van Buren and as sacramental minister of Our Lady of the Ozarks Shrine in Winslow, to return to Subiaco Abbey for reasons of health and ongoing physical rehabilitation following shoulder replacement surgery.

Effective, March 19

  • Rev. Frank V. DuPreez, relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of St. Patrick Church and St. Mary Church in North Little Rock, to become pastor of St. Joseph Church in Pine Bluff, Holy Cross Church in Sheridan and St. Mary Church in Plum Bayou.
  • Rev. Nazarus Maduba, relieved of his temporary assignment at St. Joseph Church in Pine Bluff, Holy Cross Church in Sheridan and St. Mary Church in Plum Bayou to serve as temporary sacramental minister of St. Patrick Church and St. Mary Church in North Little Rock.
