Dr. James Woods, professor of history at Georgia Southern University, delivered a talk at Our Lady of the Souls Church in Little Rock on Dec. 9. Dr. Woods, who grew up in the Holy Souls parish, spoke on the topic of the history of the Catholic Church in Arkansas, drawing anecdotes on the subject from his book by the same name. He is the son of the late Henry Woods, former federal judge.
