HHS proposes new ways around paying
WASHINGTON (CNS) — The U.S. Department for Health and Human Services March 16 proposed new ways for religious organizations that have moral objections to providing free contraceptives to their employees to comply with the requirement.
Baptist senator promoting Fort Smith Catholic school
FORT SMITH — For seven years, State Sen. Jake Files was the principal and superintendent of Fort Smith Christian School, a private, interdenominational pre-kindergarten to 12th-grade academy that merged with two other Christian schools in 2005. Files, a minister’s son, and his wife Michaela were lifelong Baptists who knew very little about Catholicism.
