One more priest to retire; five churches to get new pastors in August

Bishop Anthony B. Taylor announced the following pastoral appointments.

Effective June 7
Rev. Carlos Lozada is relieved of his responsibilities as associate pastor in St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers and as spiritual director of Hispanic Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement.

Effective June 8
Rev. José Antonio Galvez-Orellana, appointed associate pastor of St. Stephen Church in Bentonville, and St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers, with residence in Rogers (change from previously announced residence in Bella Vista).

Effective June 21
Rev. Do Duy Nho, relieved of his responsibilities of ministering to the Vietnamese community in Arkansas to begin his retirement, with residence in St. John Manor.

Effective June 24
Rev. Robert Novokowsky, FSSP, has been relieved of his responsibilities as Chaplain of St. John the Baptist Latin Mass Community in North Little Rock, to serve at the Fraternity’s new apostolate in Richmond, Va.
Rev. Charles Ryan, FSSP, from the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter, has been assigned to serve as chaplain of St. John the Baptist Latin Mass Community in North Little Rock.

Effective, July 31
Rev. Tom Stehlik, CM, is relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of St. Anne Church in North Little Rock to continue his ministry with the Congregation of the Mission in New Orleans.

Effective August 1
Rev. Michael F. Walsh, CM, is appointed from associate pastor to pastor of St. Anne Church in North Little Rock.

Effective Aug. 16
Rev. Michael E. Bass, relieved of his responsibilities as administrator of Church of St. John the Baptist in Hot Springs, to become associate pastor of St. Theresa Church in Little Rock.
Rev. James P. West, relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock, to become pastor of Church of St. John the Baptist in Hot Springs.
Rev. Tom Elliott, relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of Christ the King Church in Fort Smith, to become pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in North Little Rock.
Rev. Kevin Atunzu, relieved of his responsibilities as pastor of Our Lady of Good Hope Church in Hope and St. Martin Church in Nashville, to become pastor of Christ the King Church in Fort Smith.
Rev. Tony Robbins, relieved of his responsibilities as associate pastor of St. Theresa Church in Little Rock, to become pastor of Our Lady of Good Hope in Hope and St. Martin Church in Nashville (with residence in Hope).
