Forty-three men who have been preparing to be ordained deacons were installed as lectors by Bishop Anthony B. Taylor at Christ the King Church in Little Rock Nov. 20.
Twenty-five Anglo and 18 Hispanic diaconate candidates were installed as lectors during a Mass Nov. 20 at Christ the King Church in Little Rock. Bishop Anthony B. Taylor presided over the installation.
As lectors, the men can proclaim the Word in liturgies, instruct children and adults about the faith and preach the Gospel to those who don’t know it. The men are expected to be ordained deacons in December 2012.
