Patience has paid off for Blessed Sacrament Church and School in Jonesboro. On July 28, Bishop Anthony B. Taylor and schoolchildren broke ground on a new 28,000-square-foot building, which will allow the school to improve and expand its curriculum.

Traditions usually develop over time and no one can seem to remember exactly when or why, but students at St. Joseph School in Conway now know how to pursue an idea and create a tradition.

With the beginning of August, our thoughts turn to shopping for school supplies and getting the children back in school. This is a time for parents and students to pledge to have a great school year. It is easy to ensure school success by employing some tried-and-true methods.

Eight Catholic schools in the Diocese of Little Rock will have new leaders when school starts.

Catholic Schools of Arkansas in Little Rock/ North Little Rock. All other schools should begin Aug. 16 and end on May 27 and have the same Spring Break.
