The diocesan Youth Advisory Council leads songs and dances during praise and worship at the 62nd annual state Catholic Youth Convention May 7-9 at the DoubleTree Hotel and Robinson Center in Little Rock.

Five hundred teens and their chaperones celebrated the theme “Living in the Light of the Lamb.”
The gathering is held each Mother’s Day weekend for Catholic students in ninth through 12th grades. During the weekend the teens listened to speakers and attended Mass, a banquet where several teens and adult leaders were recognized for their leadership and a dance with the theme “My future’s so bright, I gotta wear shades.”
For the first time, the Life Teen band at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Rogers led an Exalt and Praise eucharistic adoration session. The teens also donated baby items for St. Joseph’s Helpers, a Catholic pregnancy resource center in Little Rock.
