Elaine Lienhart’s photo of the sanctuary at St. Edward Church in Little Rock won first place, and a featured spot on the cover of the 2011 Diocese of Little Rock Directory, in Arkansas Catholic’s annual photo contest. Lienhart lives in Little Rock.
Both second and third place in the contest was won by Judy Peters of Hot Springs, who submitted photos taken on the grounds at St. Mary Church in Altus.
Eligible subjects for the contest, which began in 2007, were widened this year to include any architectural element or detail, interior or exterior, of a Catholic church or institution in Arkansas.
