A Mass of investiture will be held to promote two diocesan priests at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 20 at Christ the King Church in Little Rock.
Bishop Anthony B. Taylor recently petitioned Pope Benedict XVI to honor Msgr. Scott Friend, vicar general and vocations director, and Msgr. Francis I. Malone, pastor of Christ the King Church, judicial vicar and chancellor for ecclesial affairs. Msgr. Friend will be promoted from chaplain of his holiness to prelate of honor. Msgr. Malone will be promoted from prelate of honor to protonotary apostolic supernumerary, which is the highest honor given to a monsignor.
The public is invited to attend the Mass. A reception will follow in the Family Life Center.
