Bishop Anthony B. Taylor has assigned a new pastor for St. Joseph Parish in Fayetteville, which has made several other changes of assignment also necessary as follows:
Father John Antony to St. Joseph Parish, Fayetteville from St. Raphael Parish, Springdale;
Father John Connell to St. Raphael Parish, Springdale from St. Theresa Parish, Little Rock;
Father Mark Wood to St. Theresa Parish, Little Rock from Blessed Sacrament Parish, Jonesboro.
These transfers will go into effect on Oct. 13, 2009. Additional clergy assignments to fill Blessed Sacrament Parish in Jonesboro and other apostolates will be announced shortly. Bishop Taylor’s highest priority at present is to provide St. Joseph Parish in Fayetteville the best possible staffing to help them deal with the challenges they face at this time and he very much appreciates the willingness of Fathers Antony, Connell and Wood to accept these transfers for the greater good of the Church.
