Father Frank Pavone, national director of Priests for Life, will speak to a variety of people about pro-life issues Aug. 28 and 29.
The priest, based in Amarillo, Texas, is one of the most well-known pro-life speakers in the world.
At noon Friday, the diocese will host a reception for Father Pavone with the priests and deacons.
Beginning at 5 p.m. Friday, he will be the main speaker for the diocese’s respect life conference, “Called to the Faithful,” in Fitzgerald Hall at St. John Center in Little Rock.
Other speakers include Janet Morana, co-founder of the Silent No More Awareness and executive director of Priests for Life, and Annie Casselman, director of Generations for Life, the youth outreach of the Pro-Life Action League.
The conference will continue at 8 a.m. Saturday with Mass celebrated by Bishop Anthony B. Taylor. The bishop will deliver a message and answer questions following breakfast. The conference will end at 5 p.m. with Mass celebrated by Father Thomas Keller of Carlisle.

Teens and college students are invited to a Saturday evening program with Father Pavone. The young people will join the 5 p.m. Mass, followed by dinner. Father Pavone will celebrate Masses at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock at 4:30 p.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. and noon Sunday. St. Joseph’s Helpers, a pregnancy resource center in Little Rock, will host an invitation-only brunch at the Cathedral on Sunday morning.
