Pastor Msgr. David LeSieur (left) and members of the St. Vincent de Paul Church staff in Rogers study Bishop Anthony B. Taylor’s pastoral letter on the human rights of immigrants Dec. 2. A three-week study guide on “I Was a Stranger and You Welcomed Me” was made available to parish office employees and parishioners to use during Advent. During the Dec. 2 session, one staff member shared how she came across the border illegally when she was 17 years old and later was jailed and separated from her children. Today she is an American citizen.
