Only 65 tickets to papal Masses handed out to Catholics in state

As expected, a handful of Catholics from Arkansas will be traveling to New York City and Washington, D.C., to attend papal Masses.
According to the diocesan administrator’s office, 50 tickets to the April 20 Mass at Yankee Stadium were requested, but the Archdiocese of New York could only provide 40.
Only 25 tickets to the April 17 Mass at the new Nationals baseball stadium were given to the Diocese of Little Rock. The diocese requested 75 tickets.
The Diocese of Little Rock will have another presence at the Mass in Washington. The Archdiocese of Washington requested photos reflecting the diversity of Catholics in Arkansas to be displayed on a Jumbotron before the Mass. A selection of Arkansas Catholic photos was provided. Also a short video was shot for the Diocese of Little Rock of second graders at St. Edward School in Little Rock sending a welcome message to the pope. The video will also be played before Mass begins.
