Fifth anniversary

Justpeace, an interfaith, non-partisan organization dedicated to peace and social justice, read the names of the last 1,000 soldiers killed in Iraq in a memorial service at Creekmore Park in Fort Smith Tuesday, March 25. The reading of the names was led by several veterans, the sisters of St. Scholastica Monastery and laypeople. On Easter, March 23, it was announced that 4,000 soldiers have been killed since the war in Iraq began in 2003.
