Why I am becoming Catholic: Tyler Clancy

“As an infant I was baptized Catholic. Shortly after my baptism my parents went through an unfortunate divorce. My mother, my legal guardian, went back to her original denomination, Baptist. I spent 20 years as a Protestant. I witnessed many emotional salvations including my own. I moved in with my father recently and began attending Mass regularly. I started taking confirmation classes just to see what Catholicism was all about. It was then that I realized that salvation wasn’t a decision made during an emotional time. I feel as a Catholic, strong in the faith, you’re putting yourself in the best position to reach paradise.”
