Dear Friends in Christ:
It is the custom of the Diocese of Little Rock to present an annual financial report through the Arkansas Catholic. I am very proud of the transparency with which the finances of our diocese are handled. Whatever financial resources we have are due to the generosity and sacrifices of the people who make up the Church; it is only right that they should have a clear picture of how those resources are cared for and used.
Financial resources enable us to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of our people within the diocese.
You will see within this report how that happens. During this past year and a half, I have been blessed with the guidance of a highly professional financial department and counseled by a prudent diocesan finance council. Together they have kept careful watch over whatever resources the diocese has and have made certain that each dollar entrusted to us is accounted for. Due to their superlatiave stewardship and your generosity, I think that you will find this report reflects a stable, healthy financial picture for the Church in the Diocese of Little Rock.
Please study this report carefully. We are all grateful to God for these resources and pray that he will guide us in using them for his greater glory.
