Mass and march to observe anniversary of Roe v. Wade decision

The 35th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision will be observed with a Mass for Life at noon, Sunday, Jan. 20 at the Statehouse Convention Center ballroom in Little Rock. Diocesan administrator Msgr. J. Gaston Hebert will celebrate the Mass. The day will begin with an exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 11 a.m., followed by a Rosary for Life at 11:30 a.m.
A prayer vigil will be held at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in Little Rock from 6:30 p.m. Jan. 19 to 8:30 a.m. Jan. 20. Churches and Knights of Columbus councils in Pulaski County have been assigned times to pray before the Blessed Sacrament.
The parish times are:
6:30-8:30 p.m.: Good Counsel, St. Augustine, St. Patrick and St. Mary
8:30-10:30 p.m.: Christ the King
10:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m.: St. John Latin Mass Community
12:30-2:30 a.m.: Immaculate Conception, St. Anne and St. Bartholomew
2:30-4:30 a.m.: St. Edward and Immaculate Heart of Mary
4:30- 6:30 a.m.: Cathedral of St. Andrew and St. Theresa
6:30- 8:30 a.m.: Our Lady of the Holy Souls and St. Francis of Assisi
The March for Life will begin at 2 p.m. at Capitol and Louisiana streets and end at the State Capitol with prayers, music and speeches.
