Father Vincent

Dear Friends,
As you know, Father Vincent “Udo” Ogbuji was seriously injured in an auto accident on Jan. 6 of this year. Father Udo was the pastor of St. James Church in Searcy, St. Albert Church in Heber Springs and St. Richard Church in Bald Knob.
The ongoing concern for Father Udo throughout the diocese has been tremendous and heart warming. Father Udo is now in a rehabilitation center, facing a long and expensive period of medical care. While insurance will certainly play a large part in his care, inevitably there will be expenses that will not be covered by insurance.
Many who are concerned about Father Udo have asked what they can do. The first and foremost thing we can do is to continue to pray for his healing and return to good health.
Second, for those who would like to do something more concrete, I have directed that a custodian fund be established at the diocese for Father Udo. Donations to this fund will be used to help cover his ongoing out-of-pocket expenses as needed. Checks can be made payable to the Diocese of Little Rock, P. O. Box 7565, Little Rock AR 72217, with a notation, “Father Udo Fund.”
It should be noted that donations to individuals such as this are not considered tax-deductible donations by the Internal Revenue Service.
Thank you for your prayers, support and love for this wonderful, dedicated priest. May God grant him healing in every way.
In Christ,
Msgr. J. Gaston Hebert
Diocesan Administrator
