Administrator to celebrate Mass for Life

Catholics are invited to attend Mass at noon, Sunday, Jan. 21 at the Statehouse Convention Center Ballroom in Little Rock before the annual March for Life.
The Mass for Life will be celebrated by Msgr. J. Gaston Hebert, diocesan administrator. During the Mass participants are invited to present a red rose in memory of a child who has died. Before Mass, a Rosary for Life will be prayed.
The weekend’s events will begin with a prayer vigil at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Cathedral of St. Andrew. Parishioners and members of the Knights of Columbus will pray before the Blessed Sacrament throughout the night.
Parishioners in Pulaski County are asked to attend during their parishes’ two-hour slot.

The March for Life, sponsored by Arkansas Right to Life, will begin at 2 p.m. at the intersection of Louisiana and Capitol streets and end on the State Capitol steps. This year’s speaker will be the Reverend Cedric Hayes of Gloryland Baptist Church.
For those traveling north after the march, the Knights of Columbus at St. Jude Church in Jacksonville and Council 6253 on Camp Robinson Road in North Little Rock will serve a chili supper.
