The 15th annual Arkansas Catholic Charismatic Conference, sponsored by Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services of Little Rock, will be held Aug. 4-6 at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock. The theme of this year’s conference is “Call to Unity,” based on Ephesians 4:1-6. Three national speakers will present teachings and workshops throughout the weekend.
Jim Murphy, former chairman and current consultant to the National Service Committee for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, will be the keynote speaker on Friday night. Father John Capuci is the director of Center of Jesus the Lord, a Catholic charismatic retreat center in New Orleans. Dorothea DeGrandis Sudol has given numerous workshops on healing, inner healing and the charismatic gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Msgr. Jim Mancini, the liaison to the Diocese of Little Rock for the Charismatic Renewal, will be the celebrant at the closing Mass on Sunday at 10 a.m. Youth programs for ages 5 to 18 will be available.
