Arkansas Catholic is holding a contest to choose a photo for the cover of the 2011 diocesan directory. Any professional or amateur photographer in Arkansas can enter their photo of a Catholic church or institution in the diocese. March 19, 2010 is the deadline to enter the contest.
A change in the rules this year opens up eligible subjects for the contest to any architectural element or detail, interior or exterior, including altars, statues, towers, steeples, windows or similar subjects.
Melodie Jane Claussen of Hot Springs won last year's contest with a photo of Marylake Monastery outside Little Rock. Her photo was featured on the cover of the 2010 Catholic Diocese of Little Rock Directory.
